Dispelling the Myths
We know that there are some concerns and myths concerning
these trucks and we'd like to take a moment to dispell these
questions. The number one reason someone has this type of
work done to their truck is simply to be different.
Anyone
can own a truck just like the guy next door so we encourage
individuality. We can take one truck and make it look ten
different ways. It all depends on what the customer wants,
it is his vision, we are only here to help him or her achieve
it. We are not here to upsell you or talk you into what we
think would be right for you. Whether it's working within
a price range or getting hard-to-find parts, that's what we're
here for. We will take the time to sit and talk to you, find
out what you want and then find a way to make it happen.
Godmudders
meets all State and Federal requirements as regulated
by NHTSA (National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration).
Larger trucks are State and Federally Safety tested and
tagged as Altered Vehicles. Other shops will talk about
the laws concerning these trucks, but Godmudders is the
only 4 Wheel Drive Center in Illinois that is Federally
Licensed to do this type
of work. |
The only
thing we insist on is safety. All of our trucks are built
with customer safety in mind as well
as the safety of others on the road, nothing is left to chance.
And on any of our larger lifts, we go through the proper steps
to insure that the vehicle is street legal, safety tested
and properly plated. We are the only 4X4 center in the area
who does this for their customers. Shadetree mechanics and
assembly line shops don't always understand or take the time
to do what needs to be done, and these type of shops won't
make your truck safe to drive, only the knowledge and experience
can do that and that's what counts. The belief that big trucks
are dangerous is only a myth. These trucks are not bad. They
are just big and need to be respected. Properly built, these
trucks are as safe as any vehicle off the assembly line; sometimes
they're even safer, that's what we are here to achieve.

Those
who read this will gain some knowledge about these trucks
and appreciate them for what they are, award winning machines
that are truly an art form in the profession. We hope to see
you soon!!
